Senior Back End Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain core backend architecture for AI-augmented consulting and agent platforms
• Drive decisions on microservices, containerization, and serverless solutions (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, ECS, AKS)
• Operate across a modern AI developer stack, including agentic coding tools and AI-assisted CI/CD
• Implement robust security measures such as OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and JWT by default
• Build internal guardrails, including eval harnesses and security checks, to ensure safe AI-assisted development
• Integrate LLM providers, vector stores, and orchestration frameworks like LangGraph or AutoGen
• Mentor engineers across global teams on effective AI-tooling workflows and cloud-native best practices

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and operating large-scale backend systems in cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure)
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or major backend frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Django, Spring Boot, Node.js)
• Proven experience with microservices, RESTful API design, and event-driven architectures
• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Demonstrable daily use of AI-assisted developer tools (Copilot, coding agents) with a focus on code quality and rigor
• Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Multi-cloud expertise with hands-on production experience in both AWS and Azure
• Familiarity with enterprise security and compliance standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or GDPR
• Previous experience working within consulting or professional services environments
• Experience collaborating with distributed teams across multiple time zones
