Senior Back-End Developer

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve scalable backend systems for a high-traffic video platform
• Build APIs and optimize MySQL schemas and queries
• Implement effective caching strategies with Memcached and Redis
• Support background jobs and data-processing workloads at scale
• Maintain and modernize legacy code
• Integrate front-end components with backend logic
• Contribute to technical direction through code reviews and architectural judgment

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in back-end development
• 10+ years of experience with object-oriented programming
• 5+ years of experience with PHP and modern PHP practices (PHP 8+)
• Strong experience with MySQL, schema design, and query optimization
• Hands-on experience with Memcached and Redis
• In-depth understanding of web development fundamentals, HTTP protocols, and Linux server environments
• Working knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with video technologies, containers, codecs, or live streaming
• Experience with NGINX, WebSocket, BASH scripting, or networking fundamentals
• Experience with static analysis tools like PHPStan
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience modernizing legacy PHP applications or working with server-side rendering
• Experience with CI/CD and automated testing (PHPUnit)
