Senior AWS Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage and secure AWS infrastructure across multiple accounts (commercial and GovCloud)
• Design and implement infrastructure-as-code using Terraform
• Build and maintain an infrastructure inventory for all critical services and accounts
• Implement change management processes for production infrastructure
• Respond to and remediate infrastructure incidents
• Configure and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability for cloud services
• Support security compliance initiatives including GuardDuty, CloudTrail, and Panther SIEM
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity on vulnerability management and patching
• Manage cost optimization across AWS accounts
• Document infrastructure architecture, runbooks, and operational procedures

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience managing AWS infrastructure
• Strong Terraform experience including modules and multi-account patterns
• Experience with AWS IAM, VPC networking, S3, EC2, EKS, and CloudWatch
• Understanding of networking concepts such as VPN, Transit Gateway, and DNS
• Incident response and troubleshooting experience across application and network layers
• Strong documentation and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS GovCloud or FedRAMP compliance environments
• Experience with EKS cluster management
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline infrastructure like GitLab CI
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools like Prometheus or Grafana
• Linux systems administration proficiency
• Experience with SIEM platforms such as Panther or Splunk
• Experience with SSO/SAML integration
• Familiarity with FinOps practices and AWS Cost Explorer
• Security certifications such as AWS Security Specialty or CompTIA Security+
