About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end AV/VC system design across all room typologies, including huddle spaces, boardrooms, and large event venues.
- Develop and maintain enterprise AV/VC design standards, reference architectures, and room taxonomy frameworks.
- Produce detailed design documentation such as system schematics, signal flow diagrams, equipment schedules, and bills of materials.
- Design solutions across Cisco and Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) ecosystems, including control systems, DSPs, and AVoIP.
- Govern enterprise AV/VC design standards to ensure consistency and scalability across a global estate of 1,400+ rooms.
- Manage relationships with AV/VC vendors and integrators, providing technical oversight during installation and commissioning.
- Provide third-level technical escalation for complex AV/VC issues, particularly for executive spaces and high-profile events.
Requirements
- Master's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale AV/VC solutions in large, geographically distributed organizations.
- Expertise with Cisco AV/VC ecosystems, including Webex Devices and Control Hub.
- Expertise with Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) design, deployment, and management.
- Proficiency in producing professional AV/VC design documentation (schematics, signal flows, etc.).
- CTS-D (Certified Technology Specialist — Design) certification from AVIXA.
- Strong ability to communicate complex technical design decisions to senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with control systems programming (e.g., Crestron, AMX, Extron) and DSP configuration.
- Familiarity with AVoIP protocols, networked AV architecture, and AV/IT convergence.
- Experience with workspace intelligence tools, such as occupancy sensors and room analytics.
- Additional certifications: CTS, Cisco Collaboration, Microsoft Teams Rooms, or Audiovisual Network Professional (ANP).
