About the role
Responsibilities
- Own vehicle-level integration, checkout, and verification of avionics subsystems including flight computers, power systems, and RF systems
- Develop and execute electrical integration procedures, acceptance test plans, and qualification campaigns
- Design, build, and maintain avionics test infrastructure including HIL testbeds and electrical ground support equipment
- Support system-level bring-up and troubleshooting of flight hardware through root-cause investigations
- Perform electrical verification activities including continuity testing, sensor calibration, and functional testing
- Develop automated test procedures and data collection tools to improve efficiency
- Analyze telemetry, logs, and test data to identify failures and drive corrective actions
- Support vehicle environmental testing including vibration, thermal vacuum, and EMI/EMC
- Generate clear test documentation including procedures and discrepancy reports
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline
- 5+ years of experience in avionics integration, spacecraft testing, or aerospace systems integration
- Experience integrating and troubleshooting embedded electronic systems and electrical hardware
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system architectures
- Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and data acquisition equipment
- Familiarity with aerospace communication protocols such as Ethernet, CAN, RS-422, and SPI
- Proficiency with Python, C++, MATLAB, or LabVIEW
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with spacecraft, launch vehicles, or hypersonic systems
- Experience developing Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) or flight simulation environments
- Knowledge of networking technologies including TCP/IP, UDP, and PTP
- Familiarity with aerospace standards such as IPC-620 or NASA workmanship requirements
- Experience in a fast-paced startup or rapid hardware development environment
