Senior Avionics Hardware Engineer

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert and technical lead for Mission Computers and Stores Management hardware
• Lead hardware supplier design teams to support Tactical Fighters program requirements
• Develop interface control documents for mechanical, electrical, and software interfaces
• Perform technical problem investigation and resolution at subsystem, system, and platform integration levels
• Execute weapon capability development, implementation, and integration onto fighter platforms
• Support subsystem and system testing, including ESIL and Flight Test environments
• Support airworthiness efforts for hardware design, development, and implementation
• Brief status updates to internal Boeing leadership and external customers

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
• 14+ years of engineering experience with a Bachelor's, 12+ years with a Master's, or 9+ years with a PhD
• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance
• Previous experience working on tactical fighters programs
• Experience designing, verifying, and fielding avionics subsystems
• Experience leading teams and mentoring engineering peers
• Expertise in circuit card and backplane design and integration
