Senior Avionics Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as the product owner for the Power System, including the Power Distribution Unit, Batteries, and Ground interfaces
• Develop and own the design, qualification, and acceptance testing of a high-reliability Power Distribution Unit
• Manage all technical and programmatic interfaces across the product lifecycle from design to manufacturing
• Maintain and own the Power flow simulation model for the current generation of Spectrum
• Plan and execute integrated Power System tests at the unit, subsystem, and vehicle levels
• Conduct vehicle integration and testing both in Germany and at the launch pad
• Lead failure analysis, including root cause investigations and anomaly resolution

Requirements

• BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering, Energy Science and Technology, or a comparable field
• 5+ years of experience working with complex PCBs, electronic, and power systems
• Deep knowledge of power electronics, semiconductors, and solid-state power controllers
• Extensive experience with E-CAD tools for schematic and layout design, preferably Altium Designer
• Proficiency in Matlab and Simulink
• Experience in the verification of complex circuitry, such as DCDC converters and analog frontends
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in product ownership
• Experience working with Li-ion batteries
• Experience with embedded software
