Senior Aviation Medical Examiner

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care in accordance with HAAD rules and Civil Aviation regulations to determine fit-to-fly conditions
• Respond to and handle medical emergencies within the Medical Centre clinical area
• Participate in review and planning activities to increase operational efficiency in the Medical Centre
• Participate in medical audits required by Health Authorities and Aviation Authorities
• Collect and analyze data on specialist services to report insights to management
• Assist in formulating policies, procedures, and directives governing aviation and preventative medicine
• Develop clinical care pathways with strategic healthcare provider partners
• Provide general medicine consultations as needed

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Medicine with post-graduation qualification in Aviation Medicine
• Post-graduation qualification must be from an institution recognized by the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi
• Valid HAAD license to practice within the specialty
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience overall
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in aviation medicine specialty in a clinical or hospital setting
• High degree of awareness regarding HAAD/GCAA regulations and standards
