Senior Autonomy Release Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end release execution for major autonomy releases, incremental releases, and hotfixes
• Manage branching strategy, versioning, and release cut processes
• Drive release readiness and go/no-go decisions
• Investigate and resolve complex issues involving software/hardware interactions and distributed systems
• Enforce stage-gated release frameworks from feature complete to release candidate
• Integrate validation signals from simulation, regression testing, and vehicle testing (HIL/on-road)
• Assess and improve system performance regarding CPU, memory, disk, and network usage
• Support autonomy engineers in component design and integration

Requirements

• 7+ years in autonomous systems, release engineering, and DevOps
• Strong Python and scripting skills
• Working knowledge of C/C++
• Experience working across the full product lifecycle
• Proven ability to debug complex system-level issues
• Strong communication skills across technical domains

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in autonomous robotic systems, DevOps, and release engineering
• Experience with autonomous cars, trucks, or similar vehicles
• Master's or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, or related engineering field
• Experience in a startup or high-performance R&D environment
• Familiarity with simulation frameworks and HIL/vehicle testing
• Knowledge of safety-critical systems (ISO 26262, SOTIF)
