Senior Automotive Diagnostic Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define, validate, and improve diagnostic capabilities for vehicles to reduce downtime and enhance technician efficiency.
• Develop diagnostic databases, troubleshooting methods, and improve diagnostic tools and processes.
• Verify diagnostic data from R&D Engineering teams and validate fault tracing methods for accuracy.
• Analyze recurring patterns, common faults, and technician pain points using workshop cases and field feedback.
• Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions on high-impact faults using diagnostic tools like TechTool or GDSP.
• Contribute to updates in diagnostic applications and participate in testing for new service tool releases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 4-8 years of relevant experience in the automotive domain.
• Experience with system-level testing of Embedded or Mechatronics systems, specifically regarding diagnostics and fault tracing.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as TechTool, SEWS, or GDSP.
• Strong understanding of automotive system design and AutoSAR.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience working in aftermarket or workshop environments.
• Experience with diagnostic engineering and service tool integration.
