About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical or mechanical lead for global automation projects, driving the delivery of new equipment and process optimization.
  • Interface with external system integrators and machine builders to ensure automation equipment is delivered on-time, on-budget, and meets performance standards.
  • Manage all project phases, including design/development, equipment build, factory acceptance, and production start-up support.
  • Provide mechanical design expertise for continuous improvements, cost reductions, and productivity enhancements.
  • Prepare technical specifications and ensure design packages conform to global company standards.
  • Coach junior engineers and provide technical guidance to maintenance personnel.
  • Utilize statistical data analysis and DOE for process problem-solving and product improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or an equivalent field.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, automation integration, or capital asset development and deployment.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools such as Creo or SolidWorks.
  • Ability to travel globally (including the United States and Poland).
  • Possession of a valid passport.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience moving new products or processes from development into manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency with statistical analysis tools like Minitab.
  • Experience with CAD data management systems such as PTC Windchill or SolidWorks Vault.
  • Strong project management skills and experience managing external vendors.
