Senior Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and govern enterprise-scale intelligent automation systems centered on agentic AI.
• Deploy agentic AI systems using LLM APIs, RAG, prompt engineering, and multi-agent architectures.
• Implement robust security measures including AI threat modeling, prompt injection defense, and zero-trust principles.
• Develop resilient AI systems with strong observability, tracing, and management of non-deterministic failure modes.
• Lead cross-functionally across engineering, security, product, and operations to drive AI adoption.
• Translate complex technical architectures and AI roadmaps into clear communications for executive leadership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML systems, software engineering, or cybersecurity.
• Proven track record of building and operating production-grade agentic AI systems at scale.
• Proficiency in Python and compiled languages.
• Strong experience with microservices, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Expertise in applied security, including defenses against prompt injection, jailbreaking, and tool misuse.
• Ability to work in a four-day in-office model (Chicago, IL or Overland Park, KS).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial services or highly regulated industries.
• Exposure to AI governance, model risk management, or internal AI policy development.
• Experience with red-teaming or penetration testing for AI systems.
