Senior Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and program control systems for automated industrial processes.
• Work with Siemens and B&R platforms, including C programming on B&R, to deliver robust and maintainable code.
• Collaborate with DevOps and IoT/cloud experts to bridge the gap between traditional automation and modern software engineering.
• Drive the adoption of modern development practices such as Git, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor and support colleagues from diverse backgrounds, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
• Contribute to the standardization of automation and software structures across various applications and projects.
• Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for customer issues, both remotely and onsite.

Requirements

• Solid experience in automation engineering for industrial processes.
• Proficiency in PLC programming with both B&R and Siemens platforms.
• Strong C programming skills.
• Experience with version control and revision management using Git.
• Relevant degree in Automation, Software, Embedded engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Model-Based Design (MATLAB/Simulink).
• Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity.
• Experience with IoT/cloud integration.
• Familiarity with Allen Bradley control systems.
