Senior Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensure automation needs are met in ongoing assignments
• Follow the full project process from customer idea and pre-sales support to commissioned facilities
• Act as a sub-project manager with responsibility for planning, coordination, and follow-up of the automation component
• Provide specialist expertise in specific parts of projects
• Serve as a mentor for junior colleagues and contribute to team competence development

Requirements

• Relevant professional experience in industrial automation, primarily regarding Siemens PCS7 and ABB 800XA
• Relevant formal education in automation or equivalent practical experience
• System knowledge of Siemens or ABB automation systems
• Fluency in Swedish and English (written and spoken)
• Strong sense of planning, structure, and methodical working methods

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineering degree in electrical/automation with an industrial focus
• Experience working in project form, preferably in a leading role within industrial automation projects
• Experience acting as a lead engineer and distributing tasks to junior members
• Experience with automation projects related to drive systems
• Experience from projects within the steel, metal, or manufacturing industries
• Proficiency in Siemens PCS7, Siemens Step 7, Siemens TIA Portal, Siemens WinCC, or ABB 800XA
