Senior Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensure automation needs are met in ongoing assignments, following the project process from customer idea to commissioned plant
• Act as a sub-project manager responsible for planning, coordination, and follow-up of automation parts
• Provide specialist expertise in Siemens SIMATIC PCS7 for specific project parts
• Perform optimization, troubleshooting, and upgrades in various industrial facilities
• Serve as a mentor for junior colleagues and contribute to the team's technical development

Requirements

• Relevant professional experience in industrial automation with a clear focus on Siemens SIMATIC PCS7
• Relevant formal education in automation or equivalent practical experience
• Strong system knowledge in PCS7 (design, programming, commissioning)
• Fluency in Swedish and English (written and spoken)
• Methodical approach to handling complex system environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineering degree in electrical or automation engineering with an industrial focus
• Experience in project management or leading roles within PCS7-based projects
• Experience with PCS7 system upgrades and migrations
• Experience integrating PCS7 with drive systems or other industrial systems
• Experience from projects within the steel, metal, or energy sectors
