Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain core platform services powering AI systems and developer workflows
  • Design and implement authentication, authorization, secrets management, and access control systems
  • Build reliable infrastructure across regions with clear isolation and disaster recovery
  • Improve observability, monitoring, and operational tooling
  • Develop internal platforms and abstractions for product engineers
  • Partner with AI and product teams to support model training and inference infrastructure
  • Identify and eliminate systemic operational, security, and reliability risks
  • Own projects from architecture through production rollout

Requirements

  • 6+ years of software, backend, infrastructure, or platform engineering experience
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and track record of shipping production systems
  • Experience building security-sensitive systems (auth, secrets management, or infra security)
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, containers, networking, and distributed systems
  • Experience designing platforms or tooling for other engineers
  • Ability to move from a blank document to production deployment with minimal oversight
  • High ownership and strong engineering judgment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience at an early-stage startup defining foundational technical decisions
  • Experience building multi-region or highly available systems
  • Experience supporting AI/ML infrastructure or model-serving platforms
