Senior Auditor

Responsibilities

• Perform complex compliance, investigative, and financial audits of political campaigns
• Analyze financial records and disclosure statements for desk and field audits
• Perform audits in accordance with Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS)
• Manage a team of auditors and their assigned audit caseload
• Supervise, train, and evaluate auditors
• Prepare and review written reports and correspondence
• Communicate with campaigns and management regarding audit and compliance issues
• Assist in the hiring of Audit staff

Requirements

• Knowledge of campaign finance, election, and ethics laws and regulations
• Supervisory or managerial skills
• Strong research, analytic, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
• Ability to manage a team and work independently
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Experience in a campaign finance, investigative, or regulatory environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in accounting, auditing, finance, or a related field
• Three years of experience in financial administration, compliance, or investigative auditing
• Previous experience performing audits in accordance with GAGAS
• Master's degree in a relevant field
