About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as Officer in Charge (OIC) for assigned audits, leading planning, execution, and reporting.
- Support the AML Audit Program, including annual planning, Board reporting, and continuous monitoring.
- Lead or oversee end-to-end audit projects to assess the design and operational effectiveness of internal controls.
- Ensure audit findings are supported by root cause analysis and clearly communicated to management.
- Provide oversight and guidance to local audit teams across International Banking to ensure consistency in methodology and standards.
- Identify emerging risks and regulatory developments to adjust the audit universe and plan accordingly.
- Support the testing of AML remediations and validate the sustainability of corrective actions.
Requirements
- University degree in Business, Accounting, Economics, Law, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in AML/ATF, Sanctions, audit, or related control functions.
- Strong knowledge of BSA/AML, KYC, sanctions, FATF guidance, and regulatory frameworks such as OSFI and FINTRAC.
- Demonstrated experience executing or overseeing AML testing and audit procedures.
- Proficiency in data analytics, visualization, and standard audit tools including Excel.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
- Ability to work effectively in high levels of ambiguity and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant audit, AML, or business certifications.
- Professional qualifications such as CAMS, CPA, CFA, or CISA.
