Senior Atlassian Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day administration and long-term strategy for the Atlassian suite, including Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Opsgenie, Product Discovery, and Statuspage
• Customize workflows, permissions, dashboards, and automation to improve project execution and visibility
• Partner with project managers and IT teams to embed ITSM practices within Atlassian tools
• Design advanced reporting and analytics using eazyBI, JQL, filters, and CQL
• Act as the escalation point for complex platform issues
• Drive AI initiatives within the Atlassian ecosystem, including building custom agents using Atlassian Rovo
• Collaborate across IT to ensure reliability, security, and alignment with business objectives

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience administering Atlassian Cloud environments in enterprise settings
• Proven ownership of Jira and Confluence customization and site administration
• Advanced expertise in Jira project configuration, workflows, and permission schemes
• Strong command of JQL, CQL, and eazyBI for advanced reporting
• Experience implementing ITSM processes in Jira Service Management
• Solid understanding of RBAC, change control, and release management
• Experience configuring authentication with Okta or similar IAM providers
• Familiarity integrating Atlassian tools with other business systems using JSON or YAML

Preferred Qualifications

• Atlassian Cloud Professional certifications (ACP)
• Experience leading AI-driven initiatives within Atlassian, including Rovo agent development
• Background managing large-scale Atlassian implementations or migrations
• Experience supporting external user access and complex security models
