Senior Associate Wind Technician/Assistant Facility Manager

Responsibilities

• Deliver optimal performance of on-site assets while ensuring safety and compliance
• Execute and suggest improvements to operational and safety programs and procedures
• Assist in developing and executing facility schedules for maintenance on generating and substation equipment
• Support the Facility Manager in establishing operating budgets and forecasts
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including NERC/FERC
• Serve as backup relationship manager with landowners, local governments, and utilities
• Perform maintenance on non-generating site infrastructure including roads and vehicles
• Oversee contractor performance and submit warranty claims
• Ensure the safety of all on-site personnel

Requirements

• Certification in a relevant field or comparable work experience
• Minimum of three years of experience in wind energy operations and maintenance
• Minimum of three years of experience supervising direct reports or contractors
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel
• Ability to work at heights and climb 300' wind turbines
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and meet safety gear weight requirements
• Occasional travel required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Nordex Delta 4000 5X wind turbines
• General knowledge of substation and medium voltage equipment
