Senior Associate Wind Technician/Assistant Facility Manager

Responsibilities

• Deliver optimal performance of on-site assets while ensuring compliance and safety
• Assist the Facility Manager in overseeing operations and maintenance for wind turbines, substation equipment, and electrical collection systems
• Execute and suggest improvements to operational and safety programs to improve key performance metrics
• Assist in developing and executing facility schedules for maintenance and upkeep
• Support the Facility Manager in establishing facility operating budgets and forecasts
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including environmental and NERC/FERC requirements
• Serve as a backup relationship manager with project stakeholders, including landowners, utilities, and regulators
• Oversee contractor performance and manage warranty claims when tasked
• Perform maintenance on non-generating site infrastructure, including roads and vehicles

Requirements

• Certification in a relevant field or comparable work experience
• Minimum of three years of experience in wind energy operations and maintenance (O&M)
• Minimum of three years of experience supervising direct reports or contractors
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong quantitative analytical skills using Excel
• Ability to work at heights, including climbing 300' wind turbines
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs above your head and meet onsite equipment weight requirements
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to travel occasionally

Preferred Qualifications

• Good general knowledge of substation and medium voltage equipment
• Experience and/or certifications with GE Cypress Series Wind Turbines
