About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and test sensor control software for Airborne Imaging systems
- Utilize MS Visual Studio, QNX, Linux, and XMLSpy development tools
- Perform debugging, unit testing, system modeling, simulation, and analysis on complex software
- Conduct technical investigations to improve system performance and resolve difficult requirements issues
- Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve compatibility and interface problems
- Participate in specification, design, code, and test reviews
- Provide timely production support, problem resolution, and status reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree and minimum 0 years of prior related experience
- Or 6 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree
- Experience in embedded software development
- Proficiency in C++ systems development
- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Control system modeling using Matlab/Simulink
- Experience with embedded security, encryption, and video processing algorithms
- Knowledge of video transport and encoding standards (H.264, MISB, SMPTE)
- Working knowledge of Bash/Python and Real-time Operating Systems (VxWorks, LynxOS, Integrity)
- Experience with DevSecOps and test automation
- Understanding of hardware/software co-design and distributed systems design
