Senior Associate Scientist

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing and characterization for polysaccharide manufacturing, including in-process testing and process development.
• Execute a variety of assays including HPLC-based (HPLC-RI, HPAEC-PAD), spectrophotometric (UV/Vis, Anthrone), and enzyme/immuno assays (ELISA, MSD).
• Assist in the development, qualification, and optimization of analytical methods for sample preparation and testing.
• Utilize Empower or Chromeleon software for HPLC data acquisition and analysis.
• Analyze, interpret, and summarize experimental data to prepare technical summaries for cross-functional teams.
• Maintain meticulous laboratory notebooks and electronic records in compliance with internal SOPs and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

• MSc in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a similar degree with 3+ years of relevant industry experience, OR a BSc with 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Hands-on experience with HPLC systems and carbohydrate or polysaccharide analysis.
• Proficiency with analytical software such as Empower and/or Chromeleon.
• Experience with biochemical assays including ELISA, colorimetric, or fluorescence-based methods.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory expectations for analytical documentation.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with HPAEC-PAD or LC-MS/MS.
• Experience working with biologics or complex drug substances.
• Experience supporting CMC, process development, or analytical development programs.
