Senior Associate Scientist

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute animal studies to evaluate the immunogenicity and efficacy of vaccine candidates
• Perform animal procedures including tissue harvesting and the study of human pathogen infections
• Assist in the development of new assays or animal models to support vaccine projects
• Maintain accurate documentation of all laboratory work in electronic notebooks
• Support laboratory operations through media preparation, reagent stocking, and sample processing
• Adhere to SOPs, aseptic techniques, and BSL2/ABSL2 safety practices
• Ensure compliance with cGMP/GLP and other regulatory agency requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of relevant laboratory or vivarium experience, OR a Master's degree
• Technical experience in developing and executing animal models of infectious disease
• Hands-on experience with immunological assays
• Proficiency with scientific software, including PRISM, spreadsheets, and word processing
• Ability to work semi-independently in a matrixed team environment
• Familiarity with BSL2 and ABSL2 safety protocols

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with viral or bacterial pathogen studies
• Experience working in a regulated cGMP/GLP environment
• Ability to incorporate AI tools into scientific work processes
