Senior Associate Scientist, Obesity Muscle & Metabolism

Responsibilities

• Support or lead in vivo studies in rodent models of obesity, insulin resistance, and muscle dysfunction, including compound dosing, tissue collection, and metabolic phenotyping
• Conduct follow-up analysis of metabolic tissues using qPCR, western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and RNAScope
• Design, execute, and troubleshoot in vitro experiments in primary and immortalized cell models of adipocytes and myotubes
• Analyze and interpret data using appropriate statistical methods and communicate findings in written reports and presentations
• Maintain meticulous electronic lab notebooks, SOPs, and assay documentation to ensure data integrity

Requirements

• BS or MS in Cell Biology, Physiology, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 3+ years of laboratory experience, preferably working with mouse models
• In vivo experience with rodent models of obesity
• Experience designing and executing metabolic studies, including indirect calorimetry, GTT, and ITT
• Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, Prism, R, or Python
• Strong understanding of experimental design and statistics

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with tissue culture, western blotting, ELISA, and flow cytometry
• Histologic experience with metabolic tissues including liver, skeletal muscle, pancreas, and brain
