Prime Medicine is a leading biotechnology company dedicated to creating and delivering the next generation of gene editing therapies to patients. The Company is leveraging its proprietary Prime Editing platform to develop a new class of differentiated, one-time, potentially curative genetic therapies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage database and serve as primary liaison for mRNA requests across research and program teams
  • Execute mRNA production at various scales, from high-throughput plate-based to GLP toxicology batches
  • Provide technical oversight for GMP manufacturing as Person in Plant
  • Collaborate with Analytical and QC teams to align testing and release workflows
  • Conduct statistical and advanced analytics for process and product knowledge
  • Perform in vitro transcription (IVT), capping, and purification operations using AKTA-based chromatography
  • Apply DOE principles to optimize reaction conditions
  • Operate and train peers on automated systems such as Lynx, Big Tuna, ResolveX, Tecan, and Hamilton

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
  • 5 years of experience in drug substance process development
  • 4 years of experience with enzymatic reaction process development for mRNA production using DoE
  • 5 years of experience in downstream processing with emphasis on chromatography of biologics and RNA
  • 3 years of experience with high throughput/automation development and execution
  • 4 years of experience with analytical characterization techniques (HPLC/UPLC, TEM, DSC, UV-Vis, ELISA)
  • 2 years of experience generating manufacturing batch documents and technical reports for IND/CTA submissions
  • 1 year of experience with synthesis and purification of long guide oligonucleotide RNA molecules
