Senior Associate Scientist

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and conduct in vitro studies to support hit to lead medicinal chemistry efforts targeting GPCRs
• Manage CRO scientists in the design, development, and implementation of in vitro assays
• Execute weekly cell-based assays to screen and evaluate small molecule compounds
• Interpret and analyze scientific data and communicate results to cross-functional teams
• Present experimental results and updates at team meetings
• Contribute to the management of the biology laboratory

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biochemistry, pharmacology, cell biology, or related scientific areas
• 3-5 years of industry experience for Sr. Associate Scientist I or 6-8 years for Sr. Associate Scientist II
• Hands-on experience in cell biology and routine biological assays (cell culture, HTRF, reporter gene cell-signaling, and imaging assays)
• Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate data and develop scientific hypotheses
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GPCR signaling, trafficking, and screening methodologies
• Familiarity with HTS screening methodology
• Experience with design and implementation of in vivo models in coordination with CROs
