Senior Associate Scientist (Formulation Development)

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and support formulation development activities to advance protein–polysaccharide conjugate vaccine pipelines.
• Support the manufacture of complex drug products for formulation, analytical development, and animal immunogenicity studies.
• Plan and perform complex experiments, including troubleshooting and optimization of formulation processes.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data using biochemical, biophysical, and particle characterization techniques.
• Prepare buffers, solutions, and reagents to support formulation and analytical activities.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all experimental work in electronic lab notebooks (ELN).
• Collaborate with cross-functional groups to support process development and manufacturing objectives.

Requirements

• BS degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant industry experience, OR an MS degree with 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in buffer preparation, formulation development, and laboratory techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to independently design and execute experiments and troubleshoot technical challenges.
• Proficiency with electronic lab notebooks (ELN).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail in pipetting, sample preparation, and data recording.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in vaccine formulation development.
• Experience interpreting complex data sets with statistical analysis tools such as GraphPad Prism or JMP.
