Senior Associate Scientist, Biology

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize multiplexed cell-based and high-throughput assays
• Improve assay throughput and efficiency through automation or semi-automation
• Drive mechanistic understanding of novel oncology targets through hypothesis-driven experimentation
• Integrate internal data, literature, and public datasets to inform experimental design
• Contribute to biomarker discovery efforts and support translational strategy development
• Collaborate cross-functionally with chemistry, DMPK, in vivo pharmacology, and data science teams
• Support assay transfer to CROs, including data review and troubleshooting
• Present findings clearly to project teams and maintain rigorous documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years or Master’s degree with 4+ years of industry experience
• Experience in discovery biology, preferably in oncology
• Strong hands-on experience with cell-based and high-throughput assays and automation
• Proficiency in CRISPR/Cas9, gene editing, qPCR, Western blotting, or flow cytometry
• Experience with reporter assays, protein-protein interaction assays, or mammalian cell culture
• Ability to work on-site in Cambridge, MA

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Omics approaches such as RNA-seq or proteomics
• Proficiency with ELN systems like Dotmatics
• Advanced or innovative use of AI tools for scientific work
