Senior Associate - RWE Application Development

Responsibilities

• Enhance and support existing R Shiny applications with a focus on front-end improvements
• Provide technical support and maintenance for the Atlas web-based application
• Develop and implement web solutions using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Manage and optimize data workflows to support efficient processing and analysis
• Participate in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes
• Establish coding standards and best practices for R package and R Shiny development
• Optimize performance and refactor code to enhance efficiency and reliability
• Validate and test software tools to ensure high-quality results

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5-8 years of experience in Computer Science or IT
• Proficiency in R and R Shiny
• Intermediate knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Full stack development experience
• Experience with Git workflows and version control
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a relevant scientific subject
• Experience using the Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership (OMOP) common data model
• Experience working with the OHDSI community
• Familiarity with Real-World Evidence (RWE) and observational studies
• Knowledge of Python
• Experience with Java programming
