Senior Associate, Procurement

Responsibilities

• Execute the full lifecycle of the procurement process from requisition through purchase order close out
• Plan and implement activities related to the procurement of raw materials, goods, and services
• Compile and analyze statistical data to determine buying feasibility and establish price objectives
• Approve and qualify vendors, obtain quotes, examine bids, and manage contract awards
• Negotiate with suppliers regarding prices, damage claims, rejections, and engineering changes
• Ensure delivery dates are current and obtainable to meet program requirements
• Interface with internal groups including Program Management, Finance, Engineering, and Material Managers
• Resolve invoice issues to ensure timely payments to suppliers

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
• Or, a Graduate Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience
• Or, a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of FAR/DFAR procurements
• Previous experience using MRP systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills
