Senior Associate, Network Control

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for a large nationwide network by monitoring, analyzing, and troubleshooting problems within a 24/7 Network Operations Control Center (NOCC).
• Monitor network alarm conditions to proactively identify and minimize disruptions to the FAA network.
• Perform root cause analysis to determine action plans for restoring customer services.
• Employ test methods to analyze various technologies including T1, T3, Ethernet, IP, Frame Relay, ATM, WAN, LAN, SONET, and TDM.
• Assist Local Exchange Carriers (LEC) and other providers to resolve WAN problems and support onsite field technicians remotely.
• Work rotating shifts in an onsite 24x7x365 environment to meet business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of related experience, OR Graduate Degree and 0-2 years of related experience, OR 6 years of related experience.
• CCNA Certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months of start date).
• Ability to obtain an FAA Public Trust or U.S. Government Security Clearance.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts and support emergency evacuations to backup facilities if required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with telecommunications network troubleshooting and Layer 1 troubleshooting.
• Experience with Network Management systems and tools.
• Experience with physical layer and routed technologies.
• Experience working with call center phone systems and geographically dispersed teams.
