About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide mechanical engineering expertise within the factory to resolve design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain issues throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Work cross-functionally to identify root causes and implement corrective actions for issues arising post-production release.
  • Generate and process engineering change orders (ECOs) as required.
  • Collaborate directly with mechanical designers on CAD models and part documentation.
  • Communicate lessons learned to product development teams through active participation in mechanical peer reviews.
  • Contribute to the creation of mechanical design standards, processes, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience, OR a Graduate Degree with 0-2 years of experience, OR 6 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to obtain a US Government Secret Security Clearance.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (experience with PTC Creo is preferred).
  • Knowledge of GD&T and the ability to perform tolerance stack-up analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment and supporting production.
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-810 environmental standards.
  • Strong communication skills and a proven ability to develop professional relationships and share knowledge.
