Senior Associate, IT Security

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems for irregular activity and analyze potential security incidents
• Analyze network traffic, perform packet captures, and communicate findings to stakeholders
• Document all detected incidents accurately in the incident management system
• Collaborate with security teams and program managers to facilitate system maintenance and troubleshooting
• Provide Tier 1 help desk and customer support for internal and external users
• Ensure security tools remain current through regular updates and signature management

Requirements

• Degree with 2+ years of prior related experience, OR a Graduate Degree with 0-2 years of experience, OR 6 years of experience in lieu of a degree
• Ability to obtain FAA Public Trust Suitability
• Ability to work on-site in Melbourne, FL
• Availability for weekend, after-hours support, and on-call rotations
• Ability to travel to a disaster recovery site in an emergency if needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Command Line Interface (CLI) for Cisco routers and switches
• Proficiency with Linux and Windows Operating Systems (OS) Command Line tools
• Experience collecting and analyzing system logs and event data using SIEM tools
• Familiarity with network security technologies including firewalls, IDS, WAF, ISE, RSA, and VPNs
• Relevant security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, ISC2 CC, CEH, Cisco CyberOps, or CySA+
