Senior Associate, Investigations

Responsibilities

• Undertake complex investigations, capture intelligence, and analyze disaggregated information to provide strategic regulatory compliance solutions.
• Identify and utilize diverse information sources, including open-source intelligence (OSINT), to advance client objectives.
• Conduct robust analysis of gathered information to generate relevant findings and identify necessary next steps.
• Present findings in clear, concise formats suitable for internal teams, legal counsel, and client audiences.
• Exercise appropriate judgment regarding risks to both the client and the firm, ensuring compliance with internal risk processes.
• Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and competing deadlines effectively.

Requirements

• Strong academic background (undergraduate degree minimum).
• At least six years of experience within an intelligence or investigation consulting practice.
• Expert understanding of the business, political, and regulatory environments in Southeast Asia.
• Fluency in at least one of the following languages: Indonesian, Filipino, or Vietnamese.
• Proven experience in areas such as investigative due diligence, political/regulatory intelligence, fraud, bribery, corruption, or asset tracing.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining awareness of risks that require escalation to senior staff.
