About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the execution of preclinical in vivo PKDM-BA studies using mouse and rat models
- Perform routine rodent handling, restraint, and dosing via multiple routes (IV, PO, SC, and IP)
- Collect biological samples including blood, plasma, serum, urine, feces, and tissue specimens
- Monitor rodent health and welfare, conducting clinical observations and documenting findings
- Assist with rodent necropsy, tissue collection, processing, and basic surgical manipulations
- Prepare study materials, dosing formulations, and laboratory supplies to ensure efficient execution
- Maintain accurate, organized, and compliant experimental records and laboratory documentation
- Adhere to institutional animal care guidelines, SOPs, and laboratory safety procedures
Requirements
- Master's degree OR Bachelor's degree with 2 years of rodent research experience OR Associate's degree with 4 years OR High school diploma with 6 years of rodent research experience
- Hands-on experience with rodent handling and dosing
- Expertise in biological sample collection
- Knowledge of PK/ADME studies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Biology, Chemistry, Animal Science, Pharmacology, or a related life science
- Experience in academic, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical research environments
- Familiarity with pharmacokinetic (PK) or bioanalytical studies in rodent models
- AALAS and/or ASR certification
