About the role
Responsibilities
- Participate in buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements, providing financial and commercial due diligence assistance.
- Provide accounting advisory services including IPO assistance, carve-outs, and restructuring for Fortune 1000 companies and private equity investors.
- Interface directly with senior executives of clients and target companies.
- Analyze and synthesize target company data to identify historical and projected financial trends, quality of earnings, and working capital considerations.
- Identify potential liabilities and risks that impact valuation and negotiation.
- Create tailored transaction advisory reports covering normalized earnings, valuation model assumptions, and business combinations.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of experience in accounting, advisory, financial audit, or transaction services, preferably with a Top Ten public accounting firm.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution or eligibility for CPA licensure.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC financial reporting issues, or IFRS.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed CPA or equivalent professional certification.
- Specific experience in mergers and acquisitions or transaction services.
