About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end standard costing process, including preparation, system updates, and validation of standard costs
- Maintain and update standard costs in SAP S/4HANA, including material, BOM, routing, and overhead components
- Perform monthly costing-related variance analysis, such as PPV, usage, and overhead variances
- Support inventory accounting activities, including valuation, reconciliations, and roll-forwards
- Assist with absorption testing, excess capacity analysis, and related reporting
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Global Finance teams to resolve costing issues and data gaps
- Support S/4HANA system enhancements, testing, and data validation
- Participate in continuous improvement and automation initiatives within costing and inventory processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cost accounting, inventory accounting, or manufacturing finance
- Hands-on experience with standard costing and variance analysis in a complex manufacturing environment
- Experience working with SAP, preferably S/4HANA
- Fluency in English
Preferred Qualifications
- CA, CMA, CPA, or MBA in Finance
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting and US GAAP
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with automation or reporting tools
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a global, matrixed environment
