Senior Associate - Export Compliance

Responsibilities

• Lead the company’s export control and sanctions internal compliance programme
• Own the company’s classification, licensing, and technology-transfer workflows
• Ensure compliance with German, EU, and U.S. export control and sanctions laws
• Refine and develop workflows, documentation, and recordkeeping for compliance
• Provide export control and sanctions support across all company projects
• Ensure end-to-end export control processes for timely and compliant shipments
• Conduct export control and sanctions training sessions for employees
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Logistics, Finance, IT, Legal, and People teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, natural sciences, law, economics, or a relevant discipline
• At least 5 years of in-house export control and sanctions compliance experience in an R&D intensive organization
• Strong command of German, EU, and U.S. laws and regulations
• Fluent English and good command of German
• Pragmatic, business-oriented judgement and excellent communication skills
