Senior Associate, European Real Assets Debt Capital Markets

Responsibilities

• Assist lead originators throughout the new borrowing lifecycle, including RFPs, lender correspondence, modeling, and facility agreement negotiation.
• Maintain and provide advice on issues relating to watch-listed and non-performing loans.
• Conduct forward-looking monitoring and assessment of loan performance against underwriting standards and business plans.
• Support the lender credit function by providing information and recommendations regarding concession or waiver requests.
• Act as a liaison between internal and external parties, including legal counsel, valuers, property management companies, and lenders.
• Monitor market developments and trends to analyze their impact on existing bank facilities.
• Support projects aimed at improving loan and hedge reporting or transactional banking opportunities.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in commercial real assets financing in Europe.
• Expertise in debt due diligence and transaction management.
• Experience in underwriting and managing both performing and non-performing loans.
• Familiarity with LMA structured finance.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and market research services.
• Strong analytical, written, verbal, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent time management and the ability to work autonomously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of European languages such as German, Dutch, Italian, or French.
• Proven CRE debt experience with familiarity in secured loan documentation, interest rate hedging, and transactional banking.
