Senior Associate Director of Alumni Engagement Programs

Responsibilities

• Manage members of the Alumni Engagement team to deliver diverse programming, including on-campus, virtual, and global regional events.
• Design and execute a comprehensive regional events strategy to support alumni engagement and donor cultivation.
• Recruit and manage volunteers for regional chapters of the Middlebury Alumni Association.
• Coordinate all event production and logistics, including venue selection, catering, transportation, and marketing plans.
• Serve as a key member of the Reunion planning team and oversee major annual events such as Homecoming and Alumni College.
• Develop strategic partnerships with campus entities like Athletics, Academic Affairs, and the Center for Careers and Internships.
• Identify and implement innovative engagement efforts to reach Advancement goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Seven years of related experience required.
• Proficiency with desktop applications and relational databases.
• Valid driver's license for travel and event support.
• Excellent organizational, event planning, and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends, including some travel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a fundraising or advancement environment.
• Experience supervising professional staff.
• Middlebury College graduate.
