About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and policy governance for student organization and leadership development initiatives.
  • Manage the university’s student organization recognition and risk management framework, ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards.
  • Supervise professional and graduate staff.
  • Direct a wide range of leadership programs, initiatives, and the Leadership in Service Scholarship program.
  • Collaborate across campus to integrate leadership development principles into experiential learning opportunities.
  • Liaise on organizational conduct matters and lead efforts in fundraising, assessment, and revenue generation.
  • Represent the Center for Student Involvement in the absence of the Senior Director.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in higher education, student affairs, leadership education, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in student organization advising, including oversight of governance and policy development.
  • Experience in risk management and high-risk event management.
  • Proven experience supervising graduate or professional staff.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in student organization advising.
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership program development and program assessment cycles.
  • Experience navigating complex institutional policies, including student travel and contract review.
  • Experience working with student organization conduct.
  • Experience with grant writing, fundraising, or sponsorships.
  • Understanding of and support for the values of a Catholic and Marianist educational environment.
