Senior Associate Compliance

Responsibilities

• Conduct 50-state legal research on licensing and regulatory requirements for HMO, Insurer, TPA, UM, and PBM activities
• Prepare internal guidance, including memos, matrices, and summaries, to translate regulations into practical requirements
• Manage the state licensing lifecycle, including new applications, renewals, amendments, and reporting
• Coordinate licensing submissions with onshore associates and track regulatory correspondence
• Partner with business stakeholders to determine when products or operations trigger licensure or registration requirements
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations and propose action plans to maintain organizational compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree
• Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare, regulatory, ethics, compliance, or privacy
• Demonstrated experience performing U.S. legal research (statutes, regulations, and administrative guidance)
• Proficiency with legal research tools such as Westlaw, Lexis, or NILS

Preferred Qualifications

• Practical familiarity with regulatory frameworks for HMO, Insurer, TPA, UM, or PBM licensing
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple state workstreams and deadlines
• Excellent written communication skills for producing concise, well-supported legal analyses
