Senior Associate Attorney

Responsibilities

• Handle complex cases alongside a Partner or work cases independently
• Conduct trial preparation and drafting
• Conduct bench and jury trials as first or second chair
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Prepare for and participate in mediations
• Manage a docket of approximately 40 to 60 cases
• Maintain proactive and empathetic client communications
• Perform complex discovery work

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited institution
• Licensed to practice law by the State Bar of Texas and in good standing
• Board Certification in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization
• Demonstrated history of converting potential new clients
• Mastery of local rules, procedures, and deadlines
• Mastery of the Texas Family Code and Texas Rules of Civil Procedure
• Ability to conduct casework without over-reliance on support staff
