Senior Associate, Alternative Ops Fund Accounting (Hedge)

Responsibilities

• Calculate and validate daily, weekly, or monthly Net Asset Value (NAV) for assigned funds
• Reconcile and review daily cash and portfolio positions, including equities, bonds, swaps, options, and derivatives
• Validate PnL statements, position market values, and income/expense accruals
• Post and review accounting entries to the general ledger
• Review and validate partner/shareholder allocation calculations, including management and incentive fees
• Manage day-to-day activities and controls to ensure adherence to policies and procedures
• Identify and analyze operational risks and recommend procedural improvements
• Provide training, counsel, and performance reviews for staff members

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Economics, Finance, or a related field
• Prior experience in Hedge Fund accounting, including General Ledger analysis and reconciliation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and Word
• Hands-on experience with trading instruments such as Equities, Options, Bonds, Futures, and Swaps
• Strong knowledge of Corporate Actions, income/expense accruals, and NAV calculations
• Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
