Responsibilities

Contribute to the development of ICON’s concrete 3D-printed wall system to maximize human comfort, safety, experience, and sustainability
Lead project teams in the development and coordination of comprehensive drawing packages across all design stages
Produce drawings and diagrams to ensure design intent is maintained through subsequent phases
Develop construction documents, wall assembly drawings, and building envelope details
Develop construction diagrams to communicate sequencing for integration of building systems (MEP)
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and material science departments on weatherization and thermal performance
Assist in experimentation of innovative wall profiles and configurations
Review consultant drawings to ensure successful interface between 3D-printed walls and non-printed elements
Coordinate with software engineers, print technicians, and construction operations

Requirements

8+ years of experience in complex, multi-disciplinary design projects
Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, Google and Adobe Suites
Experience coordinating all design phases (SD, DD, CD, CA) with all disciplines
Experience producing construction documents for complex projects
Strong experience in Construction Administration (RFI and submittal review)
Working knowledge of IRC, IBC, ADA, and FHA codes
Knowledge of concrete design, construction specifications, and building envelope testing (AAMA/ASTM)

Familiarity with parametric and computational design tools (Grasshopper, Dynamo)
Experience in research and development environments or prototype testing
Ability to manage BIM standards and digital workflows
Experience managing external consultants (structural, sustainability, testing labs)
Experience with emerging construction technologies (3D printing, robotics, prefab, or modular)
Familiarity with ICC-ES reports or material certification processes
