Senior Aquatics Specialist

Responsibilities

• Maintain the health and presentation of all aquatic life by adhering to operational guidelines and performing regular maintenance.
• Assess aquatic life conditions and perform necessary actions such as medicating, water changes, or removing items from sale.
• Act as the primary resource for guests and partners, providing expert education on aquatic care and utilizing the company selling model.
• Manage inventory by placing aquatic life orders and special-order requests to meet customer needs.
• Complete digital paperwork, including water test results and receiving purchase orders, in a timely manner.
• Participate in physical inventory counts and collaborate with leadership to improve department management.
• Ensure the Pet Care Center is clean and well-presented through routine housekeeping and aquarium system maintenance.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of experience working with or caring for freshwater and marine aquatic life.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Proficiency in mathematics and basic accounting relationships.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills for interacting with guests and partners.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
