Senior Applied Scientist

Responsibilities

• Develop forecasting models using statistical, ML, and deep learning approaches
• Build and optimize pacing algorithms to balance short-term performance with long-term objectives
• Build custom solutions tailored to unique environments where off-the-shelf models do not scale
• Collaborate with product teams to translate business goals into data science solutions
• Work with engineering teams to deploy models from prototype to production
• Define success metrics and conduct offline evaluation and online A/B testing
• Communicate technical results and tradeoffs to technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements

• BS/MS with 5+ years or PhD with 3+ years of experience in DS and ML roles
• Experience bringing products from ideation to production
• Experience building ML models in always-on production systems
• Strong experience in forecasting, pacing systems, or recommendation systems
• Proficiency in Python
• Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Experience running heavy workloads on distributed computing clusters (EMR, Databricks, Spark)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in programmatic advertising or real-time auctions
