Senior Applied Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Implement, support, and develop complex machine learning models and applications to deliver actionable insights.
• Distill complex problems into meaningful solutions using cutting-edge machine learning techniques.
• Work closely with client leadership teams to build reusable and scalable solutions.
• Drive change and shape innovative solutions within the category management space.
• Build new workstreams from the ground up, including defining direction, structure, and stakeholder alignment.
• Connect technical work to real customer outcomes to deliver measurable impact.

Requirements

• Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Proven experience in statistical modelling and applying data science solutions to real-world problems.
• Experience with version control tools such as GIT.
• Excellent logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PySpark.
• Background in retail analytics, specifically exposure to Category Management.
