About the role
About the Company
GrayMatter Robotics is a Physical AI company building Factory SuperIntelligence (FSI) through systems that learn, adapt, and develop genuine process intelligence. Their robots handle tedious, hazardous, and ergonomically demanding manufacturing work using a Robots-as-a-Service (RaaS) model.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and train state-of-the-art AI models for perception, inspection, decision-making, and control in robotic manufacturing systems.
- Lead the development of simulation-based tooling, including reinforcement learning and scalable synthetic data generation.
- Optimize, deploy, and maintain ML models on production robotic systems considering latency and hardware constraints.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or Mechanical Engineering with 5-8 years of experience.
- Deep expertise in machine learning and deep learning using frameworks like PyTorch.
- Demonstrated experience deploying and testing ML models on physical robotic manipulators in real-world environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with synthetic data generation using generative models like Gaussian Splatting or diffusion models.
- Proficiency with physics engines and robotics simulation platforms such as Isaac Lab or MuJoCo.
- Experience with reinforcement learning, imitation learning, or policy optimization for robotic manipulation.
